The hike to the Rotwandhütte is easy but requires some stamina due to its length. From the Rotwandalm, the climb up to the grassy Juifen offers particularly impressive views of the striking Karwendel peaks.
Alternatively, you can climb to the 1,988-metre Juifen summit from Achenwald (Hagen chapel) via the Rotwandhütte mountain hut (1,525 metres).
The trail follows a forest road for about 8.5 kilometres to the Rotwandhütte, with a walking time of about 2.5 hours. This section is also suitable for mountain bikers. From the hut, a hiking trail leads up to the summit.
Take the regional bus (line 4080) to Achenkirch and get off at the "Achenwald Klammbachbrücke" stop.
