The Voldöppberg in Kramsach need not be ashamed of its modest height of 1,509 m, as hardly any other summit offers such a beautiful view of the entire Inn valley and the surrounding mountain landscape. Additionally, the summit is a little insider tip for all hikers seeking a summit experience already in spring or even later in autumn. Due to its orientation, it is one of the first snow-free mountains.
You hike at the start of the village Brandenberg (at the finish hut of the toboggan run) along hiking trail No. 6 beside the forest road. After 15 minutes, you branch off onto a beautiful forest path and ascend this to the forest road. Continue following the signs to "Voldöppberg" and via the "Pensioners' Trail" the path continues to a small log cabin and then further to the summit. (approx. 1 hour and 45 minutes).
From the summit, you are rewarded with a magnificent view. The view extends over the Inn valley, to the Rofan, the Guffert, the Zillertal and Stubai Alps, as well as down to Brandenberg. On the grassy slope around the summit, it is now time to enjoy the packed lunch you brought.
Return on the same route; after the log cabin the right path can also be chosen.
