Beautiful summit hike to the Wiedersberger Horn from the mountain station, with great views. Quickly reachable summit - 1 h.
Shortly before the summit of the Wiedersberger Horn you will find sections secured by ropes, which you can avoid.
Sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing
After the comfortable ride with the Wiedersbergerhornbahn, the hike first leads to the summit of the Wiedersberger Horn. For this, 300 m of elevation gain must be overcome. For the rope-secured sections near the summit, there are easy bypasses. After about 1 hour, the first goal is reached. The view of the Zillertal Alps, Lake Achensee, the Rofan Mountains, the Brandenberg and Kitzbühel Alps, as well as the deep view into the Inn Valley from Innsbruck to Bavaria, is overwhelming!
The descent goes via a short steep section directly to the Hornalm. Return to the mountain station by hiking along the panoramic path (A40), either north or south of the summit. Allow another hour for this (from the summit).
With the Alpincoaster "Lauser Sauser" you can experience a thrilling descent. The little guests are waiting in the Lauserland.
Additionally, the Dauerstoaalm and the Berggasthof Hornboden offer various options for refreshments.
If you still have enough stamina afterwards, choose the route to the mid-station via the Teichweg. At the second pond there is a nice resting area with a playground. This route takes about another 2 hours. However, it goes exclusively downhill. But if parents and children have already expended themselves in Lauserland, you can simply take the gondola comfortably back down to the valley.
