Description

Starting point is the central parking lot in Oetz. From there, walk gently uphill along the Ötztaler Ache, passing the Brandach bridge until you reach a small forest. Here, keep to the left and hike through the beautiful forest to the Hotel Waldhof. Cross the street there and pass the front part of Habichen until you reach a junction towards "Ebele." Follow this path. The partly steep hiking trail can become very icy, so caution is advised! After a short time, you pass the "lower Ebele" platform. Here, the view stretches downhill towards Oetz. The path then leads steeply to the "upper Ebele" viewing platform, which offers a great view over the village of Habichen. Continue along the path until you reach a wide forest road. This then winds downhill through the forest, past the chapel on the Kalvarienberg, to the Acherkogel gondola lift. From there, continue towards Hautstraße and then cross it. The path then leads back to the Brandach bridge, followed by the original path back to the town center.
