Hochfilzen - Hoametzl Hütte - Buchensteinwand
The starting point is the car park at the Tour Rast in Hochfilzen / Warming. From the car park turn left towards the bus stop and Hotel Warminger Hof. Cross the car park of the ski lift and at the end change to the asphalt road - the Tennweg. Either hike directly across the alpine meadows or alternatively along the gravel road Kammbergweg to the Hoametzl Hut and on to the Buchensteinwand / Jakobskreuz.
The biathlon world championship trail runs along the Kammbergweg to the Hoametzl Hut.
Return via the same route. Alternative: take the chairlift of the Pillersee cable car down to the valley and the free hiking bus back to Hochfilzen.
By bus: Bus connection from Ellmau / Kitzbühel / St. Johann i.T. / Lofer and within the PillerseeTal region. Bus stop Hochfilzen Gemeindeamt (walking time to the starting point 15 min.). Bus free of charge with guest card.
By train: free train connection from Wörgl to Hochfilzen (regional trains) with guest card. Train station Hochfilzen. Walking time from station to starting point 20 min.
