Description

Rofenkarferner is an impressive glacier area near the mountain lifts of Vent and, due to its easy accessibility, a very popular destination for aspiring alpinists to gain their first glacier tour experience. Of course, only accompanied by a mountain guide in a group and with appropriate equipment.

Even though the tour to Rofenkarferner is mostly just for exercise purposes, it offers a fascinating opportunity to admire the majestic beauty of the high alpine landscape while exploring the imposing nature of this mountain area. Although the route is well marked, it is still challenging. You should therefore have a certain level of basic fitness and alpine experience.
