Guided cultural hike through Alpbach – from the village center via Inneralpbach to the historic Weikart mill and breaking room. Experience nature, history, and village culture up close.
What was Alpbach like in the past – and what makes the village so special today? On this guided circular hike, you step by step immerse yourself in the history of the place and get to know Alpbach from a completely new perspective.
The starting point is the village center. From there, the path leads over the Neada to Inneralpbach, passing insights into the development of the village – from traditional life of past times to today's Alpbach with its distinctive character.
On the way back via the middle high path, the group awaits the Weikart mill: An illustrative tour explains the historic milling process and vividly conveys how work was done and flour produced here in the past.
Another highlight is the breaking room – a former building for drying flax – and thus another tangible piece of everyday and economic history of Alpbach.
This circular hike uniquely combines nature, movement, and lived history. Ideal for everyone who wants not only to see Alpbach but really understand it.
