This variant starts at the Alpengasthof Rossmoos and then leads you on a longer and more demanding route over the Schatzberg. The ascent requires endurance and a good amount of mountain experience – just right for ambitious hikers.
The path continuously climbs uphill and repeatedly opens new perspectives of the surrounding mountain landscape. Upon reaching the Schatzberg, you will find an extensive summit plateau with an impressive panoramic view.
The descent towards Holzalm completes the tour and leads you back into gentler terrain. After the accumulated altitude meters, the stop here is more than deserved.
