Description

The hike starts at the Oberthaler snack station in the picturesque Alpbach and leads over gentle meadow paths first to Pechalm. A first taste of the typical Tyrolean alpine landscape. Then it continues to the Riedalm, where a well-deserved rest is offered: bacon platters, cheese platters, and homemade cakes provide a genuine hut atmosphere. The ascent to the Riedalm takes about 1.5 hours.

The return path leads over the beautiful alpine rose trail to Schatzberg and is lined with bright alpine rose blossoms depending on the season. Then onwards to Zottaalm and finally back to the starting point.

The tour impresses with varied landscapes: wide alpine meadows, shady forest sections, and magnificent views of the Kitzbühel Alps. Particularly charming is the diverse alpine flora along the entire route. A delightful circular tour for families and hiking enthusiasts who wish to combine nature, culinary delights, and Tyrolean alpine culture.

Tip for families: The return route from Riedalm can of course be taken the same way. The distance then shortens to 300 m elevation and just under 7 km of walking.
