Description

Take the route over the Reschen Pass to the village of Reschen and through the Rojental valley, passing the Schönebenbahn valley station. The distance from the village of Reschen to the starting point is 7 km. The route leads to the alp on a well-maintained, solid gravel path. The gentle, nearly flat trail is well-maintained, and any ruts are easy to cross. After about 4 km and 45 minutes, you’ll arrive at the alpine pasture. From the pasture’s forecourt, you can enjoy the magnificent panoramic view of Lake Reschen and the Ortler Group. Access to the Almstube requires climbing a 15-cm-high step, and the alpine hut staff are happy to assist. The staff go out of their way to serve their guests local dishes.

Restrooms: The men’s restroom at the Reschenalm is not wheelchair-accessible; however, you can use the women’s restroom instead, which is easily accessible (door width 65 cm and opens outward).
Alternative: Restroom at the Schöneben valley station parking lot.
