Fancy 2,333 vertical meters on the descent? Then today it's off to Ötztal-Bahnhof, our starting point over 3 weeks ago. Fancy an enjoyable finish? Then we stay at the Maisalm, spend the night here and reminisce over a glass of red wine. Either way, a trek in a class of its own comes to an end. We are proud of our achievement and also a little tired.
Difficult stage on black mountain paths. Sure-footedness and alpine experience are required for crossing ridges and steep ascents and descents. A very good level of fitness is required.

Appropriate equipment such as breathable and weather-adapted outdoor clothing is required for all hikes and routes. Carrying a first aid kit, a mobile phone, and possibly a hiking map, as well as sufficient provisions for hikes without dining options is necessary.
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal station. The final stop or exit point is the ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, you can travel conveniently and quickly with public transport or local taxi companies throughout the entire valley to your desired destination.
