Description

From the parking lot of the former Sonnwendjochbahn, a roughly 3.5 km long footpath leads above the closed road to the entrance of the Tiefenbachklamm. The route is not accessible for cars and cyclists but is ideal for hikers – quiet, scenic, and easy to walk.

From the gorge entrance begins the actual highlight: a spectacular path through the narrow, romantic gorge with roaring waters, small waterfalls, and a viewing platform that reveals the power of the water. Sure-footedness is required, but the path is well secured.

After about 2.5 hours, you reach the idyllically located Tiefenbachklamm snack station – perfect for an enjoyable stop with regional delicacies. The entire route (there and back) covers about 15 km, takes around 5 hours, and overcomes 370 meters of elevation. A moderate route with an impressive natural experience!
