VENT -> VERNAGTHÜTTE
Medium difficulty mountain path; suitable for sure-footed and experienced mountain hikers; good physical condition, mountain experience and mountain equipment (see equipment) necessary. Please observe the current weather report at: www.oetztal.com/de/sommer.html
Appropriate equipment such as breathable and weather-adapted outdoor clothing, ankle-high hiking boots, wind, rain and sun protection, a hat, possibly gloves, is required for all hikes and routes. Carrying a first aid kit, a mobile phone and possibly a hiking map, as well as sufficient provisions for hikes without the possibility of stopping, is necessary.From Vent across the meadows and the suspension bridge to Rofen, further to the material cable car of the Vernagthütte, from there a moderately steep ascent leads over the Platteiberg and the Vernagtbach valley to the hut.
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final stop or exit is the ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, you travel conveniently and quickly by public transport or local taxi companies through the entire valley to your desired destination! In the mountaineering village Vent you have the following parking options.
- In summer in front of the village (parking machine, coins or EC card only) and at the valley station of the chairlift (at the cash desk of the cable cars)
- In winter only at the valley station of the chairlift.
