Moderately difficult mountain trail; suitable for sure-footed and experienced mountain hikers; good physical condition, mountain experience, and mountain equipment (see under equipment) are necessary. Carrying a first aid kit, a mobile phone and possibly a hiking map, as well as sufficient provisions for hikes without refreshment options, is necessary.

Getting here

  • Arrival by public transport

    Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final stop or exit point is ÖTZTAL station. Then you can travel quickly and comfortably with public transportation or local taxis through the entire valley to your desired destination! The current bus schedule is available at: http://fahrplan.vvt.at

  • Parking

    The following parking options are available:

    • Parking lot at Acherkogelbahn (paid)
    • Parking lot at rafting entry point (at the end of the town of Oetz on the right side) (paid)
    • Central parking Oetz (paid)
    • Overnight parking during multi-day tours: Central parking Oetz, the ticket is available at the Oetz information office.
    • When taking the Ochsengarten gondola, free parking is available in Ochsengarten - camping prohibited
