Description

Almost eye-level with the mountain peaks

Not even an eagle would make it to Lourdes in one day! Nevertheless, you feel close to the famous pilgrimage site – thanks to the small Lourdes grotto with the statue of Mary about one third of the way up.

You easily manage the rest of the soft forest path as well, until suddenly a carved wooden golden eagle spreads its wings above you: as tall as a big person: a full 1.80 m. A staircase leads up to the tree where it demonstrates its wingspan, a children's slide leads back down.

Adlerblick – that’s how it must feel at almost 1,400 meters for the king of the skies. Only a wingbeat away seem the many peaks that it soars up to. But you don’t need eagle eyes but just small telescopes on the viewing platform to spot the Fünffingerspitze, Hahlkogel, Fundusfeiler, and Gamskogel.
