Appropriate equipment such as breathable and weather-appropriate outdoor clothing, ankle-high hiking boots, wind, rain and sun protection, a hat, possibly gloves, is required for all hikes and routes. It is necessary to carry a first aid kit, a mobile phone, and possibly a hiking map, as well as sufficient provisions for hikes without the possibility to stop for refreshment.
The starting point is the municipal office in the center of Haiming. From there, you walk towards the Inn river, crossing the bridge in the Magerbach district. Here you can watch the rafting boats on their last few meters and as they exit.
After the bridge, keep left and walk into the village of Schlierenzau. The small hamlet lies picturesquely on the meadow edge. Over a suspension bridge, you reach the southern bank of the Inn and enter the village of Riedern. Through the coniferous forest, you walk back to Haiming on a flat and wide path.
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final station or exit point is the ÖTZTAL station. Then you can conveniently and quickly travel through the entire valley to your desired destination using public transport or local taxi services!
