Appropriate equipment such as breathable suitable outdoor clothes for the weather, ankle-high walking boots, wind-, rain- & sun protection, hat, possibly gloves, is for all hikes and tours necessary. Please bring a first-aid box, a mobile phone, a walking map and if there is no hut on the way a snack and enough to drink

Description

The hiking starts by the car park Nordic Sports Arena in Niederthai. From there you walk in the direction to "Wiesle", but than you walk to the "untere und obere Hemerach hut". You pass the huts and walk to the Hemerkogel. On the top you have a amazing view. If you want to walk the same way back or the the grastal lake. From there you walk through the valley back to Niederthai. 

Getting here

  • Arrival by public transport

    Travel safe and comfortable with the train to the Ötztal Bahnhof train station. Last stop and exit point is the train station Bahnhof ÖTZTAL. Afterwards you can travel smoothly and quick with the public transport or our local taxi companies through the valley to your desired destination.     Car Park Nordic Sports Arena

    The car park is subject to a charge from 07:00 to 22:00 and is open in summer and winter.

    • Tariffs: € 3.00 for 2 h, € 4.00 for 3 h, € 5.00 from 4 h
    • Possibility to pay cashless online with the PARKSTER APP.
    • The car park for people with handicap is free. Please deposit your handicap ID apparent in your car.
