Description

The hike starts at the Sennhof parking lot (next to the information) in Niederthai. From there, you walk along the Horlachbach towards Schweinfurter Hut. Just after the Kleinhorlachalm, turn left onto a small footbridge that leads up the slope to the Finstertaler Sennhütte. After the Sennhütte, the path branches right and climbs a bit steeper through alpine rose slopes. Shortly before the small cirque lake, it goes in a right curve over rocky terrain to the scree slope, which leads steeply right to the notch. Upon arrival at the summit, the panoramic view is unique.
