Description

The hike starts in the village center of Alpbach past the church and slightly downhill over two bridges. Follow the road to the T-junction. Turn left there and immediately after turn right onto the Mittelzeile, i.e., the Middle Höhenweg towards the grain mill and Brechlstube. You hike past beautiful meadows and farmhouses and can really enjoy the sun and the view. Upon reaching the Brechlstube, the paved path ends, so we recommend families with strollers turn back here.

At the Brechlstube, there is a great opportunity to take a break and enjoy the packed lunch.

The return route follows the same way to the first bridge. Here turn right onto the Mühlbachweg. The themed path offers great stations. Children can play with water and romp in the forest. The themed path normally continues right after a small ascent, but you turn left towards Dorfstraße. The path now leads past Hotel Alphof and the Congress Centrum Alpbach back to the starting point.

There are many places to eat in the village center.
