OBERGURGL - RAMOLHAUS
For climbers who are not afraid of heights, sure-footed, and highly experienced in high alpine terrain; excellent physical condition, extensive mountain experience, alpine climbing equipment, safety and orientation aids, and good weather conditions are recommended. Wearing hiking gear such as breathable and weather-appropriate outdoor clothing, ankle-high hiking boots, wind, rain, and sun protection, a hat, and possibly gloves is recommended! It is also important to bring sufficient provisions as well as a first aid kit, a mobile phone, and possibly a hiking map.
Floating above the clouds. This feeling comes over you when you enjoy the panoramic view from the sun terrace of the Ramolhaus at 3,005 m. For breathtaking sunsets and sunrises, it is recommended to stay overnight at the hut. Tip: After dining or staying overnight, you can continue hiking along the Piccard circular route. Here, you cross the 142 m long and 100 m high Piccard Bridge to the other side of the valley and finally back to Gurgl.
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final stop or exit point is the ÖTZTAL train station. Afterwards, you can travel comfortably and quickly with public transport or local taxi companies through the entire valley to your desired destination.
