Duration: 2:23 h

Short description:Brief description of Jungholz:Jungholz became an enclave in the German territory within Tyrol in 1342 through the sale of the Wertach resident Hermann Häselin to Heinz Lochpühler from the Tannheimer Tal. The community, with 294 inhabitants, is Tyrol's first herb mountain village. In summer, it is primarily the hikes and the herbs that make Jungholz attractive. In winter, the snow enchants the mountain village. Hiking and skiing are on the agenda. Thanks to the modern snowmaking system, snow reliability is guaranteed.Quality of experience: ******Recommended season:JanuaryFebruaryMarchAprilMayJuneJulyAugustSeptemberOctoberNovemberDecemberProperties:LoopScenicRefreshment stops availableFamily friendly

Description

Description:
From the parking lot at the ski lifts, head towards the church. At the music pavilion, turn right onto Schnitzerweg. Follow this "art mile" to the Langenschwand district and further to the edge of the village. Here the path branches off to the left towards Stubental Alpe. After a stop for refreshment, either return on foot or with the sleds, which can be rented at the hut, back to Langenschwand, where at the chapel the signpost points right onto the Panorama trail. The Panorama trail leads above Jungholz to the Gießenschwand district and offers beautiful views repeatedly. Shortly before Gießenschwand, it goes downhill into the village. Through the district and at the main road, turn left, continuing towards the church. To the right of it are the parking lots and the starting point of the hike. Several opportunities to stop for refreshments give us a chance to better endure the winter-cold temperatures.Directions:
This winter hike takes place on well-cleared and, if necessary, also gritted paths. On the way to Stubental Alpe, no gritting is done because there is also sledding activity there.Tip:
Winter hiking, sledding downhill, and several opportunities to stop for refreshments make this hike very varied.Safety guidelines:
It should be noted that there is also an increased risk of accidents and injuries when winter hiking. Especially in winter, special attention should be paid to trail conditions. Depending on length and route choice, good planning and physical fitness are essential. Suitable clothing, good footwear, and possibly hiking poles provide additional safety. Stay on the marked paths.Equipment:
A contemporary and well-maintained equipment (shoes, poles, and clothing) not only provides a significant level of safety but also makes winter hiking much easier. Sun protection (high protection factor and possibly sunglasses) as well as sufficient fluids should not be forgotten.Additional information:
