UMHAUSEN -> Mure parking lot -> WALDCAFE STUBÖBELE
Easy hiking path; suitable for beginners and casual walkers
Please note the current weather report
Appropriate equipment such as breathable and weather-appropriate outdoor clothing, ankle-high hiking boots, wind, rain, and sun protection, a hat, and possibly gloves are required for all hikes and routes. Carrying a first aid kit, a mobile phone, and possibly a hiking map, as well as enough provisions for hikes without dining options, is necessary.
The easy hike starts from the Mure parking lot in the village center of Umhausen. Before the bridge, turn left into Sandgasse. Past the "Ötztalerei - Burgerbar & Ice Workshop," continue straight along Sandgasse until it leads to a wide dirt path. Along the dirt path, past "Stuiben Nannele," you will reach the Waldcafé Stuböbele directly. Now nothing stands in the way of a cozy stop on the large sun terrace. This easy hiking route is also very suitable for families and with strollers/prams.
The return route is the same or alternatively on the other side. First, you walk over the Horlach stream, past the bird of prey park and Ötzi village until you reach the Bischoffsplatz parking lot & natural bathing lake. Then you walk back along the road to the village center of Umhausen.
From the Waldcafé Stuböbele, there is also the option to continue hiking for about 20 minutes on foot to the foot of the Stuibenfall - the largest waterfall in Tyrol.
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final stop or departure point is the ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, you can conveniently and quickly travel by public transport or local taxi companies through the entire valley to your desired destination!
