Appropriate equipment such as breathable and weather-appropriate outdoor clothing, ankle-high hiking boots, wind, rain, and sun protection, a hat, and possibly gloves are required for all hikes and routes. Carrying a first aid kit, a mobile phone, and possibly a hiking map, as well as sufficient provisions for hikes without dining options, is necessary.From Obergurgl head south to the last houses in the village. From there follow the wide path towards Zirben Alm. Then continue in the direction of Zirbenwald to a ledge (way cross and bench) opposite the Nasenwand. Here turn right down to the Gurgler Ache, follow the narrow path to the 30 m long bridge. Ascend over mountain meadows to the Beilsteinweg which continues to the Beilstein or back to Obergurgl.
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final stop and exit point is ÖTZTAL station. From there, you can conveniently and quickly continue through the entire valley to your desired destination using public transport or local taxi companies!
