To simply put it, having a dog has changed my life. Dogs have the added benefit of needing to be walked and played with. This means that my furry companion encourages me to exercise more, which boosts my mood and energy levels. Getting up in the morning is more fun, as my ‘alarm clock’ greets me with a tail wag and looking at him makes me feel good, loved and adorable (without makeup and with rings under my eyes he makes me feel that I am the best person in the whole, entire world!). And I feel safer as my dog is an effective home security system. Barking behind the door he will deter burglars.
Bring Fido – Without the Hassle
Luis, my Maltipoo hybrid dog belongs with me and I go anywhere where he is welcome. Not surprisingly, a vacation just wouldn’t be the same without my dog. Thus, as a new dog owner, I asked myself where can I take my four-legged family member in Tirol without too much of a hassle? I have checked pet-friendly accommodations throughout the country and here are some tips to show you Tirol can be a great little getaway for your dog as well.
Being Pet-Friendly
Of course, being „pet-friendly“ means more than a dog food bowl delivered to my room. To me, pet-friendly accommodations don’t just tolerate dogs, they welcome pets with open arms and embrace them with first-class services. When it comes to pet-friendly lodging, two things matter most: I want to bring my dog to the restaurant for dinner (he makes a good guest lying beneath the table) and I want to keep him next to me outside at the pool/lake area. I don’t want to leave my dog alone in the room.
Dogs Gaining Ground
Tirol is becoming more and more more pet-friendly, to the point where you can feel comfortable finding not only pet-friendly hotels and other lodging for your dog, but also a wide array of pet-friendly services and venues.
