Equipment

Medium-difficulty mountain path; suitable for sure-footed and experienced mountain hikers; good physical condition, mountain experience, and mountain equipment (see under equipment) necessary. Please check the current weather report at: www.oetztal.com/de/sommer.html Appropriate equipment such as breathable and weather-appropriate outdoor clothing, ankle-high hiking boots, wind, rain and sun protection, a hat, and possibly gloves, is required for all hikes and routes. Bringing a first-aid kit, a mobile phone, and possibly a hiking map, as well as sufficient provisions for hikes without the possibility of stopping, is necessary.

Description

Steeply over the Ramolalm towards the Ramoljoch. In the Spiegelkar, the path branches off to the right and leads under the Vorderer Spiegelkogel. After crossing the Diembach, descend into the Niedertal and continue there above the stream. Shortly before the Schäferhütte, cross the Niedertalache (iron bridge) and ascend to the Niedertal path. From there, either continue to the Martin-Busch Hut or back to Vent.


Getting here

  • Arrival by public transport

    Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final stop or exit point is the ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, you can conveniently and quickly travel with public transport or local taxi companies throughout the valley to your desired destination!   • Parking

    In the mountaineering village of Vent, the following parking options are available.

    - In summer, before the village (parking meter, coins or EC card only) and at the valley station of the chairlift (at the ticket office of the mountain railways)

    - In winter, only at the valley station of the chairlift.

    Cost: €5.00 per day/car
