Moderate mountain path; suitable for sure-footed and experienced mountain hikers.

Appropriate equipment such as breathable and weather-adapted outdoor clothing, ankle-high hiking boots, wind, rain, and sun protection, a hat, and possibly gloves, is necessary for all hikes and routes. Carrying a first aid kit, a mobile phone, and possibly a hiking map, as well as sufficient provisions for hikes without dining options, is required.Ascending to the Gaisbergbrücke on trail 7 and up to halfway on the Plattach slope. Then turn right and climb quite steeply to the Plattach plateau (lift station). Then over grassy slopes and moraine remains (stone marker) the "Grahnsleiten" into the Rosskar. From there, ascend to the summit (3,038 m) via the west ridge across scree and stone slabs.
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final stop or exit point is the ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, you can conveniently and quickly continue with public transport or local taxi companies through the entire valley to your desired destination!
