MARTIN BUSCH HUT -> KREUZSPITZE
Wearing hiking gear such as breathable and weather-appropriate outdoor clothing, ankle-high mountain boots, wind, rain and sun protection, a hat and possibly gloves is recommended! It is also important to bring sufficient food supplies, a first aid kit, a mobile phone and possibly a hiking map.
The Kreuzspitze is a dream destination for high-alpine hikers. It is one of the highest peaks in the Ötztal Alps that can be reached on a marked hiking trail without crossing any glaciers. The Kreuzspitze is also considered one of the finest viewpoint mountains in the region.
From the Martin Busch Hut, the path climbs steeply, passing the remains of the former Brizzi Hut and the beautifully situated Brizzi Lake. Thanks to its prominent position on the Kreuzkamm ridge between the main ridge and the Weißkamm, the summit offers outstanding panoramic views of the entire Ötztal Alps, the huts around Vent, and many of the highest and most impressive peaks in the Eastern Alps.
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal station. The final stop or exit point is the ÖTZTAL train station. Afterwards, you can travel conveniently and quickly by public transportation or local taxi companies throughout the valley to your desired destination!
