The hut is open but currently not reachable from Vent due to snow conditions.
Appropriate equipment such as breathable and weather-appropriate outdoor clothing, ankle-high hiking boots, wind, rain and sun protection, a hat, and possibly gloves, is required for all hikes and routes. Carrying a first aid kit, a mobile phone, and possibly a hiking map, as well as sufficient provisions if hiking without refreshment options, is necessary.Vent (1,900 m) - Ramoljoch - Ramolhaus (3,005 m)
Moderately steep path through the stone pine forest. The Ramolalm is not managed.
From there, a steep ascent leads to the Ramoljoch (3,200 m) and then the descent over rocks to the Ramolferner
and further about 30 minutes on foot to the hut.
Travel comfortably and safely by train to Ötztal station. The final stop or exit point is ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, you can travel conveniently and quickly by public bus or local taxi companies through the entire valley to your desired destination! In the mountaineering village of Vent, the following parking options are available.
- In summer, in front of the village (parking machine, coins or EC card only) and at the valley station of the chairlift (at the mountain railways cashier)
- In winter, only at the valley station of the chairlift.
