1. Exclusive alpine accommodation

One of the best ways to enjoy the stunning scenery in Tirol is on a hike to the mountains with an overnight stay in a mountain hut. Those in search of a little luxury can try the KRAFTalm in the Kitzbühel Alps. This alpine accommodation has its own swimming pool overlooking the mountains. There are also a number of private chalets in Tirol, for example Chalet Brandleit (bookable for stays of one night and more).

2. The way to a (wo)man's heart...

What better way to start a marriage than with a cooking course? There are plenty of places in Tirol where you can learn how to make all manner of meals, but we recommend Futterkutter. Martin and Georg, the two guys in charge, are normally found out and about on the streets of Innsbruck over lunchtime offering fresh, delicious meals served from a cargo-bike. They also offer their own cooking courses where you can learn how to make a wide range of hotpot-style dishes from around the world.

A question of taste. Improve your cooking skills with a course run by the guys in charge of Futterkutter.

3. Action and adventure at Area47

Area47 in the Ötztal Valley is the ultimate outdoor playground for fans of alpine sports. Rafting, canyoning, e-motocross, wakeboarding – there are so many sports and activities on offer here that you won't know where to start. Definitely a must for all budding brides and grooms with a taste for adrenaline.

4. Powder to the people

Advanced and expert freeriders can book an experienced guide in winter to show them the best off-piste terrain in the region. There are also a number of ladies-only camps available. Freeride camps can be found throughout Tirol. Here you will find a list with some of the best. Many ski schools and mountain guides also offer freeride experiences in the mountains of Tirol.

5. Explore Tirol on two wheels

In summer, Tirol is home to a large number of bike parks with all manner of trails, jumps and obstacles. One of the best parks is in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis, where even beginners will feel at home. The park offers private lessons for groups of up to four riders. A little further down the Inn Valley, the Bike Republic Sölden and its Ride On bike school has workshops and courses for mountain bikers of all abilities.

Last but certainly not least, early birds can try the Early Ride – a chance to ride two trails in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis, the Joch Trail and the Frommes Trail, as the sun slowly rises behind the mountains.

Experienced coaches will show you how to improve your bike-handling.

6. Escape room escapades

Can you keep a cool head in a stressful situation? No, we're not talking of the final few moments of freedom before walking down the aisle! Escape rooms such as those in Innsbruck challenge participants to solve a number of riddles and puzzles in a limited amount of time. As well as the classic escape room format, there are also outdoor escape games and a virtual escape game using virtual reality goggles to take you into a fantasy world.

7. Get creative

Fancy a few ideas for your up-coming wedding? The creative courses run by Papelier at the Bäckerei in Innsbruck cover everything from origami to handlettering and bookbinding. Lucia and Laura will also be happy to put together private courses to meet your own individual wishes and needs.

8. Breakfast in the mountains

There are few more special experiences than enjoying a healthy and hearty breakfast in the mountains. There are plenty of huts throughout Tirol that open early for breakfast, including the Umbrüggler Alm above Innsbruck.

Early risers in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena can hop on the gondola and ride up into the mountains as the sun slowly rises. Alternatively, the restaurant at the top of the cable car also offers special fondue evenings where you can watch the sun set.

9. Rest and relaxation

Planning a wedding can be stressful to say the least, so treat yourself and your friends to a spa day in one of Tirol's many spa hotels. Surrounded by beautiful natural surroundings, you can switch off and simply enjoy the moment. We recommend the Zedernklang ****S in Hopfgarten in East Tirol.

10. Hit the town

The best way to round off a great stag do or hen night is with a drink at the Café/Bar 360 Grad above Innsbruck. Another good place in Innsbruck to enjoy the city from above is the Blaue Brigitte on the sixth floor of the Hotel Weisses Kreuz, This elegant, stylish bar serves excellent drinks and offer a different perspective on downtown Innsbruck.
