The second stage of the Lechweg River Trail leads from Lech am Arlberg via Warth and the Geißbrücke bridge, past the Walserhus and parish church, through Gehren and Lechleiten and onwards into Tyrol.
From the eastern hamlet of Stubenbach, the Lech winds its way through a fascinating gorge landscape, which is not always visible from the trail. Above Stubenbach, the route follows the hillside above the Lech gorge to the Grenztobel, the municipal boundary between Lech and Warth. Along the way, you cross several small mountain streams. A sharp left turn leads to the Bodenalpe, a welcoming place to stop for refreshments. Otherwise, a forest track continues above the Lech to a wooden bridge secured with steel cables spanning the river.
The trail then climbs through the mountain forest to the Walser village of Warth. At the entrance to the village, a natural swimming lake and Vorarlberg’s highest-altitude dairy and butcher’s shop, Wälder Metzge, invite you to take a break. The Walserhus and St Sebastian’s Church are testament to the craftsmanship of the Walser people.

A small suspension bridge over the Krumbach leads onwards to Gehren and into Tyrol. In Lechleiten, part of the municipality of Steeg, the Schrofenwies natural climbing garden is located directly along the route, offering more than 31 climbing routes for beginners and experienced climbers.
The Lechweg River Trail is well connected to the local public transport network.
